Welcome to our brand-new events website! From here you can keep up to date with all of our upcoming events and all of the behind the scenes by following this blog.
What better way to introduce our events to you than finding out what some of us in the events team love the most. As we do over 100 events throughout the year, this was the best way to whittle it down to a few of the favourites!

What is your favourite Citywire Event attended so far?
Citywire Miami – the guaranteed sunshine and dinner on the beach makes it really special.
Most exciting place you’ve travelled to with Citywire?
Cartagena in Colombia; it was our first event in this region and being able to work as the event manager on such a successful launch event was a great achievement! It was also my first time in South America so that was super exciting!
Best meal at an event?
Would have to be at the Four Seasons in Florence, the breakfast there is unreal. Almond croissants sent from heaven.
Favourite show guide cover?
Chicago – it was the first hard back edition we ever did and the red velvet looks so cool.
Best speaker you’ve seen?
Monty Halls at Wealth Manager Retreat 2018. He’s an ex marine who spoke about the most daunting challenges that nature has to offer. Absolute legend, no further explanation needed.

What is your favourite Citywire Event attended so far?
Wildcard selection here! I really enjoyed the NMA Roadshows this year – they were my first real project to put together myself at Citywire and it was great to see them come together. San Clemente Palace in Venice is a great spot too and I enjoyed our event there.
Most exciting place you’ve travelled to with Citywire?
I visited Germany for the first time with Citywire. In Munich I had my first experience of a German beer hall. I’m not normally one for pictures, but even I had to pose with a German stein!
Favourite show guide cover?
We used a Fractal pattern for our Fixed Income Showguides this year – our speaker, Alex Bellos, discussed a similar kind of thing in his talk and so it tied in nicely.
Best speaker you’ve seen?
I guess I should choose a speaker I have booked here right? No – sadly not. Baroness Eliza Manningham Buller is something special – owns the room as soon as she steps into it.

What is your favourite Citywire Event attended so far?
So far, my favourite event has been Deutschland 2019 as the hotel and weather were wonderful. It’s one of our bigger events so it was a great way to celebrate the end of the first half of our events year with so many delegates.
Most exciting place you’ve travelled to with Citywire?
As I’m still quite new I haven’t travelled as much as others in the team yet but I thought Milan was pretty cool and the pizzas were sublime. The hotel we used was beautiful and it was my first international forum so it was great to see such great attendance and happy delegates.
Best meal at an event?
Definitely the Sunday roast buffet at Four Seasons Hampshire which was at the South East Retreat 2019. What better place to enjoy a Sunday lunch than at a country retreat in the Hampshire countryside.
Favourite show guide cover?
Chicago 2018 was groovy, I like how it carried the cinematic theme throughout all of the pages and it was our first hardback show guide which makes it extra special.
Best speaker you’ve seen?
Maggie Alphonsi (former international women’s rugby player) who spoke at South West 2019 about leadership and having a winning mindset- what a role model!
So what we have learnt from the team – we all love the food and travel. And we hope that you love our events just as much.
